Medical Centres with pharmacies have been built in 13 regions. These centres are provided with solar panels, refrigerator, fresh water wells and latrine; a small building next door serves as accommodation for the qualified nurse, who is paid by the Mali Foundation. Two other centres have furniture, medical instruments and a pharmacy. The 10th is a leprosy Centre, opened this Spring. This project offers medical and social help to a group of 5000 lepers, who have been rejected by society and who are otherwise devoid of any form of aid. The centre has been provided with a kitchen/canteen and a grain store.
